1. Introduction

At BunkBuddy, your privacy and data security are our top priorities. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle the information required to provide you with an automated dashboard for the NSUT IMS portal.

2. Information We Collect

To function seamlessly, the BunkBuddy service requires the following login credentials:

• Roll Number: Used to identify your account on the NSUT IMS portal.
• Password: Used strictly for authentication against the official portal to fetch your private data.
• Academic Details: Semester and Year for querying specific results and attendance logs.

3. Local Storage Architecture (Zero-Log Policy)

Our architecture is designed around heavily guarded edge scraping. What this means relative to your data is:

• No Database: We do NOT possess a central database containing user credentials.
• Local Encryption: Your Roll Number and Password are predominantly cached on your own device's local storage to prevent rapid requirement of re-logins.
• Passthrough Scraping: When a request is made, your locally cached credentials are transmitted via an encrypted HTTPS connection to our scraper node, which instantly consumes them for login, serves you the data, and immediately drops them from memory.

4. Data Usage

The scraped data (Attendance logs, Sub-links, Semester Marks, Name) is routed exclusively back to your browser window to render the BunkBuddy dashboard. We do not aggregate, sell, or analyze your personal academic scores or absentee records.

5. Third-Party Access

Because we do not store your data, it is impossible for us to share it with third parties. All connections between the BunkBuddy server node and the NSUT IMS portal occur within a completely secure, isolated headless browser instance.
